Description

Work of this contract includes decommissioning of a landfill site and construction of a new transfer station on the same site. Work includes but is not necessarily limited to the following:

excavation and relocation of waste
waste leveling/grading and compacting
supply and placement of a clay cap (approx. 12,700 m2), topsoil and seeding
drainage works
chain-link fencing and gates
construction of a 6,120 m2 gravel transfer station pad
concrete waste receiving ramp and associated railings
concrete pads and superstructures for an attendant's office, HHW depot and used goods exchange depot
installation of a used oil storage tank
extension of overhead hydro and water service to the transfer station site
installation of asphalt on the transfer station pad
decommission and installation of monitoring wells
