The general scope of work covers the supply of all labour, material, engineering, equipment and superintendence to undertake the following track projects on the VIA’s Subdivisions:
VIA Alexandria Subdivision
(A) Full rehabilitation of two (2) crossings;
VIA Smiths-Falls and Brockville Subdivisions
(B) Renewal of approximately 5,600 cross-ties on a portion of the VIA Brockville Subdivision;
(C) Full rehabilitation of two (2) crossings;
In order to be able to submit a tender, the Tenderer must comply with the following mandatory requirements:
1)Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage:
a.Commercial General Liability Insurance of $25,000,000 per occurrence with a global policy aggregate of $50,000,000;
b.Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000];
c. All Risks insurance policy.
2) Be present at the mandatory site visit on on June 28, 2017 at 10:30 AM (Eastern Time) at 355 County Road 16 (corner of Jasper and R16) Jasper, ON, K06 1G0

Bond Requirement as percentage of Contract Prices:
a.Bid Bond 10%
- Letter of Credit
- Performance Bond – 50%
- Labour & Material Payment Bond – 50%
4)Tenderer must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in track construction and maintenance
5)Project manager must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management.
Track Program Supervisor must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in track construction or maintenance.
6)All works must be completed no later than seventy-five (75) calendar days after contract award.
7)The Tenderer must be able to have access (owned or rented) to a dynamic stabilizer equipment.
