Description

The University of Toronto is seeking responses to this RFP from qualified Architects for professional services relating to the Social Justice Education at OISE 12th Floor Renovation at the St. George campus. The goal of the project is to strategically improve the space to increase daylight, functionality and increase student workspace. The department is rapidly growing both in faculty and student body. The students are underserved by small, windowless interior spaces that do not meet their needs. The proposed renovations are intended to improve departmental spaces, particularly community spaces and dedicated study space for students. The renovations to the department will exemplify, in broad terms, social justice values with a focus on equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility.

Additional Bidding Instructions

Proponents shall upload one (1) electronic copy (.pdf format) to MERX. The cover sheet of the proposal will bear the Proponent’s name together with the Project name and number and the words “Proposal Submission 123-21-138: OISE Social Justice Education Department 12th Floor Renovation” clearly marked. Key components of the proposal are listed in Part E: Submission Requirements.

Proposals shall be addressed to the contact listed in A.9 – Inquiries.

Proposals shall be uploaded to MERX before 3:00:00 PM on March 14, 2022 (the “Submission Deadline”):

The term “local time” shall mean the time as measured by the time clock maintained by MERX.

Submissions received after the Submission Deadline will not be considered. No exceptions will be made in the case of late delivery - including but not limited to – internet connection problems.

Each Proponent is responsible for the upload of its Proposal to MERX. Proposals transmitted by email or sent by any other electronic means will not be considered. Proponents will not be able to upload their proposals after the submission deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted via any other means. No exceptions will be made in the case of late delivery - including but not limited to – internet connection problems.
