Description

The University of Toronto is seeking responses to this RFP from qualified Architects for professional services relating to the OISE Renewal Plan at the St. George campus.

It should be noted, that of primary interest to the University is demonstration of the Proponent’s experience with planning and execution of technical studies of existing buildings.
The goal of the project is to develop a long-term technical framework document to enable the realisation of the various planned and future renovation projects within the OISE-occupied spaces at 252 Bloor Street West. This document will comprise of mechanical, electrical and IT system improvement strategies, a whole-building assessment of the aging building envelope and associated upgrades, and a whole-building egress and code review. There will be an equal emphasis on accessibility, safety, comfort and building systems performance.

Event Note

A site tour is scheduled for June at 1:00PM. Please assemble at the OISE Lobby. The purpose of the tour is to provide all Proponents with an opportunity to view the existing conditions of the Project. Please note that attendance at the tour is optional and the University will maintain and release a record of attendance.
Attendees at the optional site tour must wear Personal Protective Equipment as well as a non-medical facial mask. Physical distancing must be practiced at all times.

Any questions arising from the tour must be sent, via email, to the contact mentioned in Part A.9 of the RFP and will be answered via addendum. Answers provided to questions made during the site tour shall not be formal and should not be relied upon as official.
