The purpose of this RFP is to solicit responses from vendors to provide the services described in the attached specifications section 11 61 20, Item 1.1 for the Project UTM 2016-17-04 “Davis A Block Fume Hood and HVAC Renewal” under the future UTM awarded General Contractor, as more particularly described in this RFP.
Fume Hoods package will form part of the GC Tender as an identified price.
The scope of work executed under the Future General Contractor will include the Fume Hood and HVAC renewal of the Davis Building A Block, levels 1, 2, 4 and 5. A detailed schedule for the individual laboratories shut down is been currently coordinated with the end users, but all 4 floors Fume Hoods replacement or retrofit and HVAC renovations will be done between May 1st 2017 and August 31st 2017. The intent is for all the Fume Hoods to be readily available so the Future GC can execute the work regardless of the final schedule for the individual laboratories shut down, as long as they are executed within the dates noted above; therefore the Fume Hoods must be stored in a warehouse located in the GTA so all the packages can be reviewed and confirmed correct before the HVAC work can commence.
