A DMAF (Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund) grant was awarded jointly to the Town of Canmore (Town) and Municipal District of Bighorn (MDB) by Infrastructure Canada, for purposes of constructing steep creek flood mitigation in the two municipalities. This flood protection program will be known as the Bow Valley Steep Creek Mitigation Program (BVSCMP). Under the BVSCMP, nine flood mitigation projects are planned and are expected to be undertaken over the next 8 years.

One of the DMFA grant requirements, is to prepare a Greenhouse Gas Assessment for the BVSCMP. The BVSCMP therefore requires a consultant to prepare the Greenhouse Gas Assessment. In addition to the GHG assessment, the consultant will need to define the data to collect from each of the individual creek projects, so that a final GHG report can be submitted to Infrastructure Canada.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to select an Environmental Consultant to prepare the GHG Assessment and follow up reports.
