TORONTO POLICE SERVICE
GLOBAL SEARCH PLATFORM
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)
RFI 2017-08
PURPOSE
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is solely for gathering information and feedback from a broad range of third party solution providers to determine whether there is interest in providing all or some of a Global Search platform for the Toronto Police Service (TPS).
The Global Search platform will be a key tool for enhancing TPS’ use of data and analytics, as outlined in TPS’s Transformational Task Force interim report, entitled The Way Forward http://www.torontopolice.on.ca/TheWayForward/.
TPS is open to considering different types of Global Search platforms, including but not limited to ‘commercial-off-the-shelf’ (COTS) or custom-developed platforms, as well as both purchase of said tool (with ongoing technical support) or provision of ongoing outsourcing services (e.g. Software as a Service).
GOAL
The goal of this RFI is to gather information regarding the ability of suppliers to provide suitable solutions ranging from partial to full scope.
PARTICIPATION
TPS encourages participation from potential solution providers in this RFI process, the results of which will be reported back to an evaluation committee. In turn, the committee will consider submitted responses when determining whether or not to initiate a competitive process to solicit bids for all or part any of the areas that fall under Global Search.
Deadline for Responses
