The Toronto Police Service (TPS) is seeking interested parties that would provide information on their Full Body Scanner (FBS) product(s) and supply and install a temporary unit for a Proof-of-Concept (POC) with the intent of exploring operational benefits in implementing FBS’ within the TPS central lock-up facilities.
I. TPS intends to install a FBS at a central lock-up facility for a period of six (6) months.
ii. Based on the respondent submission and requirements set forth in Appendix A, TPS shall have the option of testing up to two (2) FBS for a period of three (3) months each or if only one (1) FBS is to be tested it will be installed and tested for a period of six (6) months at a central lock-up facility.
iii. Due to privacy concerns, the testing phase will be conducted as a standalone solution.
A scheduled non mandatory on-site visit will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2018, @ 11:00 am EST at 14 Division, 350 Dovercourt Rd, Toronto, ON M6J 3E3.
BLACKOUT PERIOD
TPS prohibits communication with respect to this REOI initiated by a respondent to any TPS or Board official, member or employee of TPS. Any communication between respondents and the TPS during the Blackout Period must only be undertaken through the designated official, for the purpose of obtaining information or clarification necessary under this REOI. Any communication initiated by a respondent during the Blackout Period, other than with the designated official, may be grounds for removal.
