Nasittuq, as the Contractor to the Government of Canada for the Operation and Maintenance of the NWS, is soliciting a proposal. NWS sites are equipped with bulk fuel tanks that range from 2,000L to 950,000L. Tank cleaning and API 653 inspections are completed to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and standards; as well as provide data for lifecycle management of Department of National Defense (DND) assets. The program consists of a five-year rotational-type inspection schedule for vertical tanks and five-year in-service and ten years out of service rotational basis for horizontal tanks. Once tank cleaning and API 653 inspections are completed, the data from the API 653 inspection reports will be analyzed and captured in a continuation schedule developed by Nasittuq. The complete program plan and proposed scheduling is managed and maintained by Nasittuq.
