The Purchaser is seeking Proposals from qualified and experienced Proponents for the provision of Dental Instrument Student Kits to support students of the Dental Hygiene program.
The Purchaser offers a Dental Hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC).
The Dental Hygiene program is a three (3) year, six (6)-semester Ontario College Advanced Diploma program, delivered over three (3) years. Each fall (September), approximately forty-four (44) students are enrolled. The student kit for this program is provided to the students in the fall of their first year and the kit is used for the duration of the program. Successful students that proceed to Dental Hygiene Year 2 (DH YR 2), will receive a secondary scale kit as well as periodontal instruments. Clinically, student progress from typodonts to supervised provision of self-initiated comprehensive dental hygiene care for clients.
It is the intention of the Purchaser to award one Proponent for this procurement process. A Proponent must be able to supply every item required for each student kit mentioned herein. If a Proponent is unable to provide every item required for each student kit based on the specifications mentioned herein, the Proponent may not be considered.
The Purchaser typically places orders for the fall semester in early May. All student kits must be assembled and delivered to the Purchaser by no later than the second week of August to ensure the kits are distributed before the start of the fall semester.
