Description

Ridley Terminals Inc (RTI), a Federal Crown Corporation, operates a bulk handling terminal from rail car unloading, product storage to vessel loading services. Primary products are metallurgical and thermal coal, and petroleum coke.
This Pre-Qualification opportunity is for a General Contractor to provide the resources for the dumper upgrade Scope of Work:

Removal of existing apron feeder, frozen coal crusher, vibratory feeders, associated chutework, support steel and hydraulic equipment, grizzly, hopper,
Demolition of existing dumper drive building, foundation and concrete pedestal
Supply chutework, support steel, platforms and stairs
Installation of new electrical room, apron feeders, frozen coal crusher, vibratory feeders, chutework, support steel, platforms and stairs
Construction of foundation
Installation of new overhead crane in vault, all electrical and controls equipment, including lighting, cable trays, etc.
Commissioning and testing of the new equipment and clean-up of work area
- Feeders and frozen coal crusher already on order by RTI.

The short-listed pre-qualifications will be invited to respond to the Request for Proposal (RFP).
The expected time line for this project is:

May – award contract
July/August – early work
September 2019 – major shutdown
