ER02-2020 - Alternative Delivery Model for Direct Operations

The Ministry of Community and Social Services, Contract and Procurement Unit is seeking information about what is currently available in the marketplace that could meet the service requirements of the province for alternative delivery models for the Edmonton and Calgary Region 24-hour Direct Operations programs, this RFI is not a competitive bid process and will not result in a contract award.

CSS is exploring alternative delivery models for the Edmonton and Calgary Region 24-hour Direct Operations programs. This includes the potential transitioning of residential and direct client services to contracted service providers. Information gathered through this RFI will assist the province in determining the requirements and provisions, scope of work and approach in the development of a procurement process.

If such a procurement were to proceed, the objective would be to have one or more contracts for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) services and one for Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) in Edmonton, and one or more contracts for PDD services in Calgary.

Questions or concerns about the RFI must be communicated in writing to the email address identified on the cover page by July 30, 2020. Questions received after this date will be answered if time permits.

Vendors are requested to submit responses by August 14, 2020. Responses received by this date will facilitate a timely review of the information provided. Responses received after this date will be reviewed at the province’s discretion.

Responses should be delivered by email to CSS.QSPResponses@gov.ab.ca in a Microsoft format (MS Word, MS Excel). Hardcopy submissions will not be accepted.
