Description of Work :

Senior Financial Management Consultant is required to develop and update Business Cases and Treasury Board Submissions that will have tight timelines. Other activities required within the scope of work include and not limited to:

Program Support (Service Management, Data Centres, Network & End User Devices, Cyber & IT Security): Support in the areas of obtaining government approvals for Program initiatives where needed, briefings for senior management, and performance reporting. This is based on evaluation of all available information for decision readiness. Briefing Notes and decks are expected to be prepared to facilitate decision making. Cabinet documents may need to be prepared depending on the decision being sought.

Strategic Policy: Review and interpretation of GC policies for programs and service leads.

Corporate Risk and Reporting: Risk profiling and risk analysis for projects and services.

Strategic advice on positioning of an initiative with OGDs, including central agencies

Strategic advice on government approvals required and how to obtain them; support where necessary

Analyze, evaluate, develop business processes (financial, operational, systems, etc.).

Identify organizational and/or project business opportunities for improvement and streamlining of business processes.

Identify and evaluate critical success parameters, factors and performance measurements.
