Meaford, Ontario - Decommissioning Wells Project No. R.072929.001

Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) on behalf of Department of National Defence, 139152 Grey Rd. 112, RR1, 4th Canadian Division Training Centre Meaford, Ontario requires decommissioning of 42 dug wells and 1 cistern, including some tree removal and grubbing.

The well decommissioning work must be completed by a licensed well drilling contractor and technician in accordance with O.Reg. 903, as amended to O. Reg. 331/13.

A Ministry of Environment (MOE) Water Well Record must be completed for each well decommissioned.

MANDATORY SITE VISIT The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.

Arrangements have been made for a tour of the work site. The site visit will be held on the 1st October 2014 at 10:00 a.m.

Bidders are to meet at the Range Control Building M-201.

M-201 is located on the left side of Worthington Road, approx. 500 m north of the main gate.

There is some temporary parking (pull-off area) across the road from this building on the right side of the road heading north on Worthington Rd.

Parking directly in front of the M201 is prohibited as this area must be kept clear for emergency vehicles/access.

Safety boots are recommended for the site walk through.

An Access Form is included with this tender package for your review.

Bidders attending this site visit should bring this blank form with them.

Instructions will be provided at the site visit when to complete and sign the document.

Department of National Defence will not allow individuals to attend the site visit without a signed Access Form.

The Bidder or their Representative will be required to sign Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the visit.

Bidders or their Representatives who do not attend will not be given an alternative appointment and will be precluded from submitting a bid.

Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted.
