Bidders are hereby informed that the requirements of the Tlicho Land Claim and Self Government Agreement will apply to this procurement. The benefits that apply are contained in: Chapter 26, the Tlicho Land Claim and Self Government Agreement, clauses 26.3, 26.3.1 (a).
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) on behalf of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) intends to retain an individual Design-Builder (D-B) or Joint Venture to provide the complete design-build work for the interim underground stabilization work at Giant Mine in Yellowknife, NT, as more fully described in the Terms of Reference.
Utilizing a design-build service delivery methodology, a full range of professional consultant and contractor services will be required during both the design and construction phases of the project.
The contract will commence at contract award and is to be completed by 31 January 2015.
Mandatory Site Visit and Bidders Conference:
1) There will be a site visit on April 17, 2013. Registered attendees are to meet at the C-Dry
Boardroom Giant Mine Site, Yellowknife, NT at their scheduled site visit time.
A bidders conference will be held on April 18, 2013 at 9:00 am at the C-Dry Boardroom Giant Mine Site, Yellowknife, NT.
The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.
The representative of the bidder will be
required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by
Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted.
2) Attire - It is mandatory that all persons attending the site visit have the proper safety
footwear (CSA approved green patch) . Hard hats, high visibility vest and safety glasses
are also required.
Bidder personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire
will be denied access to the site.
3) Interested bidders are to register and confirm their attendance with the Contracting
Authority no later than 2:00 P.M. C.S.T., April 11, 2013.
The Contracting Authority will
communicate to the bidder their scheduled site visit time by 2:00 P.M. C.S.T., April 12,
2013.

4) Non-registered bidders will not be taken to or be allowed on the site.
5) Due to limited space, each bidder attending will be limited to two (2) representatives.
6) All travel and living costs associated with travel to Yellowknife for the purpose of
attending the Mandatory Site Visit and Bidders Conference will be borne by the bidder or
its representative.
