Suppliers who consider themselves fully qualified and available to provide the services described in this ACAN may submit a statement of capabilities in writing to the Procurement Officer identified in this notice on or before the closing date of this notice. The statement of capabilities must clearly demonstrate how the supplier meets the advertised requirements.
The specified unit (s) shall be forty passenger hybrid transit buses licensable for operation within Canada and capable to operate in all climatic conditions' customary to the geographic area of the Local Government.
Normal climatic conditions of the area for Fredericton includes temperature extremes form -40 degrees Celsius in winter complete with abundance of snow accumulation, freezing rain, sleet, hail, high winds, etc; elements common to northern winters in summer temperatures range to a +30 degrees Celsius and higher.
The Supplier shall meet all Federal and Provincial Safety Standards and laws that are in effect on the date of the bid for the items specified for the particular use for which they are meant.
The following sub systems are supported exclusively by their respective manufacturer; engine; hybrid propulsion system, axles, and HVAC. These suppliers possess their own aftermarket service networks and elect their right to perform all warranty repairs exclusively. It is and industry standard that in the case of a warrantable repair, the Local Government must go through the respective manufacturer's service network, of said sub systems.
The Supplier shall use its best efforts to deliver (and provide evidence of same if, requested by the Local Government) the Services and/or Goods to the Local Government thirty (30) days from the timeline agreed to at receipt of the order from the Local Government.
