Description

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), in potential collaboration with the Ministry of the Attorney General (“MAG”), is seeking responses from vendors that can provide an enterprise-wide e-Discovery system. The e-Discovery system would assist in conducting investigations and prosecutions on large scale and complex major cases.

The system is intended to address core challenges in such cases, including the time required to review documents and other data (including audio-visual material) collected by police, and vet out confidential or privileged information prior to disclosing them to an accused person.

The e-Discovery system would also be expected to effectively automate digital processing steps including data ingestion, indexing, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), virus scanning, as well as various other quality control functions.
Scope of Work
This RFI has the following objectives:
• Determine the level of market interest;
• Obtain information on potential new technologies and approaches;
• Obtain recommendations that would enhance the success of a future procurement opportunity for this project;
• Obtain detailed non-binding cost estimates for budget purposes; and
• Understand innovative solutions that could provide the Ministry an opportunity to optimize business processes and efficiencies.

The Ministry may, at its discretion invite respondents to schedule the demonstrations; however invited respondents are under no obligation to participate in the demonstration phase.

During the respondent presentations, the Ministry may seek further clarification on information provided in their response
