Description

In accordance with the requirements of Alberta Municipal Affairs/ABSA Information Bulletin No. IB15-012, tank owners are required to complete servicing or replacement of pressure relief valves (PRV) on all owned propane tanks not greater than 2500 USWG. Prior to 31 May 2024 all in-service PRVs are to be serviced or replaced in accordance with applicable ABSA codes and regulations. Relief valves must be serviced or replaced sooner if there is evidence of malfunction or damage.

A regional tank inventory, inspection, and a prioritized condition rating was completed for each tank. Tanks were prioritized for PRV service at various locations throughout the Kananaskis Region. The successful Proponent will be provided with a copy of tank and PRV Inspection Reports from 2018 to assist with tank identification.

Approximately Qty. 54 - 1000 gallon in-service propane tanks, identified at various locations throughout the Kananaskis Region, are in need of PRV valve replacement mostly due to age. All tanks identified in the RFQ are owned by Alberta Forestry & Parks and not greater than 2500 USWG.
