Description

RFB for the provision of a new remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) to support the Lake Ontario aquatic science program that meets or exceeds the specifications set out in the Deliverables section.
Scope of Work
The Ministry’s Lake Ontario aquatic research team, based at the Glenora Fisheries Station, conducts aquatic science research projects to learn more about the ecology and productive capacity of the fish and invertebrate community of Lake Ontario. The team seeks to use an ROV to view and record underwater phenomena, locate and sample underwater habitat features, deploy / recover sampling equipment, and provide a general window to the underwater world. This RFP is for the provision of one (1) new (i.e., assembled with parts manufactured within the previous 18 months from the conclusion of this procurement) ROV that meets the desired characteristics outlined in Appendix A – The SPECIFCATIONS, delivered to the Glenora Fisheries Station (Picton, Ontario, Canada) before the end of the calendar year.
