Notice is given by the City of Nanaimo (City) of its intent to direct award a contract to:
Xylem Canada LP
1475 Island Highway E
Nanoose Bay, BC V9P 9A3

Background Information:

The City of Nanaimo completed construction of the Seventh Street Pump Station in October 2021. The design of the lift station provided two wet well cells (Side A and Side B), to enable the station to be phased over time. Each cell was designed for two pumps, a duty and standby, for an ultimate build out of four pumps at 100% redundancy. Phase 1, included the construction of both wet well cells but without the installation of some process mechanical and electrical equipment, including the pumps in Side B.

The pumps installed during phase 1 were:

FLYGT MODEL NP-3315 SUBMERSIBLE PUMP 110HP

The Side B of the Seventh Street Pump Station is being commissioned in 2023 and 2 FLYGT MODEL NP-3315 SUBMERSIBLE PUMP 110HP are required for the upgrade.
