Description

The Province’s Employee Safety Office (ESO) provides Work Alone Monitoring Program for Departments and Public Organizations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

The ESO’s Work Alone Monitoring Program provides an enhanced level of safety support for staff who travel, by continuously monitoring in real time an employee’s whereabouts via Global Positioning Systems (GPS) or cellular network (via mobile device or laptop). In addition, the ESO’s Work Alone Monitoring Program is accessed by lone workers who perform duties in a wide range of occupations including staff whose workplaces are at a fixed location. Currently, more than 6,000 lone workers access this service each year.

The Province requires a Work Alone Monitoring Solution, as the contract for the current solution is slated to expire.
