Clear Hills County is seeking tenders for four play structures complete with installation at three recreation areas in the County: Running Lake, Stoney Lake, and Sulphur Lake.
Tender Requirements – All Playground Structures:
1. Each playground structure must abide to the Playground Safety Design Guide/Playground Safety checklist (playpowercanada.ca).
2. Each playground structure will comply with CSA Standard CSA Z614:20 regarding children’s playground equipment and surfacing.
3. The playground structures will focus on nature-based play elements.
4. The playground structures will include a variety of play elements for children 18 months to 12 years.
5. Playground structure costs and complete installation costs to be included in the total tender for each structure.
6. Minimum Warranty criteria: Lifetime on Posts; 15 years on steel components; 10 years on plastic components; 2 years on defects in installation or workmanship.
7. Anticipated delivery and installation dates to be included on the tender submission.
Tender Requirements – Each Playground Structure
A. Running Lake – 1 playground structure, installed
• Approximate size of structure: 39 feet x 74 feet
• Maximum Capacity: 58 children
• Include swings
• The goal is a structure similar in design and colors to the attached diagram of Model No. B308933R0
• Installation will require the removal of some understory growth; no mature trees need to be removed.
B. Stoney Lake – 2 playground structures, installed
• Structure 1 – Day Use Area
o Approximate size of structure: 27 feet x 27 feet
o Maximum Capacity: 27 children
o The goal is a structure similar in design and colors to the attached diagram of Model No. B308931R2
o Installation will be on an open lawned area.
• Structure 2 – Campground
o Approximate size of structure: 27 feet x 27 feet
o Maximum Capacity: 27 children
o The goal is a structure similar in design and colors to the attached diagram of Model No. B308932R2
o Installation will be on an existing gravel and grass campsite pad.
C. Sulphur Lake– 1 playground structure, installed
a. Approximate size of structure: 27 feet x 27 feet
b. Maximum Capacity: 27 children
c. The goal is a structure similar in design and colors to the attached diagram for Stoney Lake Structure 2 (Model No. B308932R2)
d. Installation will be on an open lawned area.

Clear Hills County does not recommend using Courier Services, as service to the County office is very limited and there is no guarantee the tender will arrive on time.
Tenders will be opened on June 14, 2022, at 9:45 a.m. at a regular council meeting in the Clear Hills County Council Chambers. Clear Hills County reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders.
