Cape Breton Regional Municipality operates three facilities Centre 200 located in Sydney,the Cape Breton County Recreation Centre in Coxheath and the Miner’s Forum in Glace Bay. Centre 200 is an arena and convention facility that hosts Quebec Major Junior Hockey League games, Trade Shows, Concerts, Live Shows and other spectator events. The Cape Breton County Recreation Centre or County Arena is a primarily a hockey arena that hosts Minor Hockey, Cape Breton High School Hockey as well as specialized hockey tournaments such as the Red Cup High school Hockey Classic. The Glace Bay Miner’s Forum hosts Glace Bay Minor Hockey, high school hockey and other special events. It also has a restaurant operating full-time as well as a community room that will host special events. We require a Security Company to provide the following services:
General Building Security Service to Centre 200 on a daily basis Monday – Sunday: 8am – close Monday-Friday: 8am – 4pm. (May-August) Event Security Service for Centre 200:
• QMJHL Hockey – 34 Home Games plus playoffs
• Vince Ryan Hockey Tournament
• Other on Ice Events Event Security Service for events such as:
• Cape Breton Auto Show
• Celtic Colours Finale
• Outdoor Concerts
• Indoor Auto Sale
• Indoor Concerts
• Ice Shows
• Boxing
• Graduation Ceremonies
• Trade Shows
• Conferences
• Other off Ice Events both indoor and outdoor.
Event Security Service for Cape Breton County Recreation Centre for events such as:
• Riverview High School Hockey- 10 games plus playoffs
• Red Cup High School Hockey Classic
• Other events as needed General Building Security Service to Glace Bay Miner’s Forum on daily basis
Monday-Sunday 8 am – Close (closing time will depend on the restaurants hours of operation) Special Events held in the community room may require security services in compliance with NSAG regulations.
