Notice is hereby given that Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”)(the “Health Authority”), acting on its own behalf, intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide Primary Assessment and Care Application Support Services for BC Correctional Health Services (CHS) for a term of One (1) year at an estimated value of $649,427.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:

To ensure compatibility with existing goods, or to maintain specialized goods that must be maintained by the manufacturer of those goods or its representative.

Rationale
PHSA BC Correction Health Services utilizes a primary assessment and care application, (PAC) for patient charting this software is a custom-built clinical information system, built exclusively for, and used exclusively by, BC Correctional Health Services. It is imperative the software system is maintained and upgraded by the Gevity Consulting. No other vendor has the proprietary knowledge and source code of this software system. Ony Gevity Consulting Inc. is able to provide the necessary upgrades and maintanence to the current patient charting system for BC Corrections Health Services.

Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Niel Chaffe, Senior Buyer, IMIT by email before 12:00pm Pacific Time, March 17, 2021. PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
