339369 - RFP Mechanical Engineer for RCMP Detachment Modernization IPD

This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the City of Kamloops (the "City") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Integrated Project Delivery ("IPD") Mechanical Engineering Services for the RCMP Main Detachment Modernization.

The City intends to hire a Mechanical Engineer to join a highly collaborative IPD team in the delivery of an upcoming project for the Kamloops RCMP. The initial task will be to deliver the Validation Phase with options to modernize and expand the RCMP's main detachment. These options will need to make use of the site in a way that meets current needs, and growth for a 20 year horizon.

The term of the interim agreement is to be in effect until June 30, 2022 or until completion of validation when the Polyparty IPD Agreement shall supersede the interim agreement. If the validation phase extends beyond the first term of this Contract, the City reserves an option in favor of extending the term for an additional period of one (1) year. If the project fails to successfully validate prior to the expiry of this Contract, this Contract shall dissolve per the Terms and Conditions in the Validation Agreement (Appendix A).
