NOTICE OF A VIRTUAL INDUSTRY DAY

Parsons Inc. (“Parsons”) is the Main Construction Manager (MCM) for the Giant Mine Remediation Project (GMRP), acting as the Prime Contractor and Mine Manager. Parsons is committed to ensuring procurement will be conducted in a fair, open and transparent manner while addressing Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement (CLCA) obligations and the Government of Canada’s procurement objectives regarding Indigenous opportunities.
Upon receiving a Class A Water License there will be an opportunity to complete activities in 2021 and 2022 in preparation for remediation activities. These early work activities include:
1. Townsite deconstruction
2. Construction of the non-hazardous waste landfill
3. Construction of the AR1 freeze pad
4. Underground stabilization activities
5. Disposal of arsenic trioxide waste in Chamber 15
Parsons is committed to aligning tendered work packages with local area and Indigenous labour force and business capacity to maximize Indigenous training, employment, subcontracting, and other opportunities involving Indigenous citizens and businesses in carrying out the work under this project.
