Description:
York’s Grounds, Fleet and Waste Management, Campus Services and Business Operations (“CSBO”) department, is inviting established Proponent to provide Waste Transfer Station Services. York has an objective to reduce their impact on the environment and ultimately move towards a goal of zero waste. York makes every effort within recycling and waste reduction programs for reaching zero waste. York desire of reaching zero waste must include an off-site recovery process of harvesting more recyclable materials and safely disposing what cannot be recycled.
York will only consider Proposal submissions received from Proponents who have registered with MERX (www.MERX.com) for this competitive bid. Proposal submissions from Proponents who have not registered and obtained this Bid Document directly from MERX will be disqualified.

Duration of Agreement:
The initial term of the Agreement shall begin from the date of award for twenty-four (24) months, with four (4) optional twelve (12) month extensions. All prices shall be net, firm and not negotiable for the initial thirty-six (36) months. Should York choose to exercise its option to extend subsequent to the initial term, any extension to the Agreement shall be upon the same terms and conditions, except for price, which shall be agreed in writing by the parties and shall not exceed the Consumer Price Index – Canada, All-items.

Negotiation:
York reserves the right in its sole discretion to negotiate modifications to any Proposal received without becoming obligated to offer to negotiate with any other Proponent(s).
