York University (“York U”) is seeking information on Commercial-off-the-Shelf Identity and Access Management (“IAM”) platform. York U wishes to better understand:
• The Suppliers in the marketplace
• The fit with the University’s Enterprise structure
• General costing of the solution; and
• Guidance on Product/Service considerations when drafting a Request for Proposal (“RFP”).
York U is looking to replace its existing in-house developed IAM platform known as Passport York (“PY”), which provides identity governance and administration, limited access management, integration with key directory services, automated provisioning, and a variety of authentication services to numerous applications and services, enterprise-wide.
The solution should provide functionality that both replaces and enhanced existing IAM capabilities, including, but not limited to:
• Identity governance and administration;
• Authentication (username/password, SSO, federated, integrates with Duo MFA);
• Authorization and access management;
• Directory services integration (LDAP, AD, Azure AD);
• Provisoning (AD, Office 365/Azure AD, Google, numerous other applications and SaaS applications);
• Self-serve functionality (password resets, enrollment, administration, etc.);
• Logging, audit, and reporting; and
• Privileged access management.
In addition to the functionality involved, York U is also looking for implementation services to assist with the York U deployment of such a platform.
