Description

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU) to
prospective proponents to submit proposals for the Courtyard Podium Roof and Hardscape
Replacement project as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the
“Deliverables”). The type of procurement method for this RFP is a Quote - Negotiated procurement.

WLU is seeking qualified roofing contractors to act as the prime contractor to complete the
specified work to the courtyard area of 44 Bricker Residence.

The current 1,755 ft2 courtyard podium roof is in need of replacement. The successful contractor will
replace the courtyard podium roof with a new system as well as replace the skylight within the
courtyard, metal cladding near the courtyard entrance, repair or replace the existing metal
railings and replace all concrete paver walkways with new poured-in-place concrete walkways.
Work will include, but is not limited to, demolition, roofing, metal cladding, skylight replacement,
electrical and landscaping.

Work on-site may commence on April 30th, 2018 and must achieve substantial completion by August 17th, 2018

Event Note

A mandatory site visit will be held on Monday April 9th, 2018 beginning promptly
at 10:00 am. Proponents are instructed to assemble in the courtyard of 44 Bricker Ave
residence. Free parking is available on Bricker Ave but parking spots are limited. It is
suggested to allow additional time to locate a parking spot. Proponents that are unable to attend the above noted site visit may request an alternate time with the RFP Contact. Notice must be given in advance of the pre-bid site visit.
Submissions received from any proponent that did not have a representative review the
site with the RFP Contact will not be evaluated.

(a) Proposals will only be accepted if received by the Submission Deadline.

(d) Uploading large documents may take significant time, depending on the size of the file(s)
