Background
The processing system required is to facilitate investigative research that focuses on the intersection of computer architecture, computer systems, and theoretical computer science. This Request for Proposals is intended to acquire a heterogenous computer processing cluster with three elements:
1. Two (2) high-performance servers. Each of these should be powered by 2 or 4 EPYC 7002 series processors (preferably EPYC™ 7H12 or AMD EPYC™ 7742) with one or more AMD Radeon GPUs (preferably RX 5700 XT);
2. Additional low-power servers powered by EPYC Embedded Processors (preferably AMD EPYC™ Embedded 3201 or AMD EPYC™ Embedded 3101) with potentially one AMD GPU; and,
3. A switch that connects these servers together.
Proposals for this system must be for a total net selling price of less than $137,500 CAD, not including HST.
