The University of Ottawa requires the services of Worldwide EduConnect to assist the University in
developing its goals and strategic plan on recruitment of potential students mainly from India, but also
from Asia and Middle East Regions.
More specifically, the services include, but are not limited to the following:
A: Counselling
• Advise the University of Ottawa on all matters relating to the University’s recruitment of potential
students mainly from India, but also from Asia and Middle East Regions.
• Provide a Recruitment Representative who will assist the University in developing its goals and
strategic plan on recruitment of potential students from India; Asia and Middle East Regions with
India being the focus.
B: Recruitment and support
• Recruit and manage a highly qualified person to support uOttawa's student recruitment from India
and in other Asia/ Middle East regions when requested;
• Provide local infrastructure including office space to support the representative in India;
• Provide all related services that help in furthering the uOttawa's interests in India.
REQUIREMENTS
The resource assigned to this mandate from the service provider requires at a minimum:
- Twelve (12) years of experience in the higher education recruitment sphere with a special
expertise in providing marketing & administrative support to Canadian public educational
institutions and corporations who seek to put in place strategic market development initiatives in
order to build brand awareness and to attract and recruit international students from India’ Middle
East & Africa for post-secondary studies in Canadian institutions;
- Demonstrated ongoing professional development and credentialed specializations in student
recruitment-related topics;
- University degree in a relevant field or minimum 5 years of relevant experience;
- Offer a non-commission type recruitment representative model;
- Exclusive work and expertize with Canadian post-secondary institutions;
- Close partnership with diplomatic services in key territories;
- To offer institutional related services in English and must be able to offer the student recruitment
focused services in English and Hindi. Any student recruitment focused services offered in any
other language or dialect of the Territory will be considered an asset;
- Own offices in India and Africa;
- Preferred head office in Canada for ease of access for consultation and support;
- Offering a range of services including but not limited to outreach counselling, branding, application
processing, agent management, designing of marketing material/websites, application software
development and event management;
- Provide market intelligence, market entry and market expansion service;
- Region-wise market opportunity analysis, competitor analysis, and sector research
