Description

The University of Ottawa is seeking proposals from Heritage Masonry firms specializing in limestone with rubble construction to act as General Contractors for a rehabilitation of parts of the building at 100 Laurier. The building section being renewed was built in 1894. Proponents are to present experience and expertise in this type of masonry work, and the five firms with the highest evaluation scores will be prequalified to bid on the project. Bidding documents will be sent to prequalified bidders in early March and the winning contractor is to be mobilized by April 5, 2021 with a substantial completion date of August 6, 2021.
The winning bidder wil be required to sign a CCDC 2 Construction Contract and the University's Supplementary Conditions which are attached.
