This Request for Supplier Qualification (RFSQ) is an invitation by the University of Ottawa (uO/Owner) to General Contractors (Proponents) to partner with a qualified Subcontractors to be prequalified for a construction project located in the the 5th floor of the STEM building at uO. The project concist of converting a 737 m2 shell space into an advance Cyber Security hub. The space will include two simulation ranges, a live range, a reception area, a kitchennet, offices, bordrooms as well as hotelling stations. Construction is slated to start in May 2021, and needs to be completed by the start of the school year (September 1, 2021), the successful Proponants aknolowdges that Time is of the Essence with this project and that the schedule cannot slip. This project is of high importance for the image and reputation of uO, as such uO is looking for the very best Proponents, that value team work, and fully understands the importance of a thorough schedule.
The definitions applicable to this RFSQ are those provided in the Standard Form of Contract CCDC2, 2008 Stipulated Price Contract for Construction and the University of Ottawa’s Supplementary General Conditions to CCDC2, 2008 Stipulated Price Contract as per APPENDIX E.
