Description

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation by the University to prospective firms (Proponents) to submit proposals for the provision of relocation services, including heavy equipment moves, to relocate labs and offices from several existing locations on campus to the new STEM building (also on campus).

The existing locations include (but are not limited to) Colonel By Building, SITE Building, CAREG Building, Marion Building, Minto Building, Tabaret Building, D’Iorio Building, Gendron Building, ARC Building, 200 Lees, and houses.

The University estimates that the services will encompass the relocation of approximately 300 offices,
30 labs, the Science Store and 135 pieces of heavy equipment between April 2018 and December 2018. This information is provided to give Proponents an approximate idea of the anticipated service requirements however it is only a rough estimate and is subject to change.

The University has contracted CBRE to act as the University’s project manager (PM). CBRE is the main point of contact for the delivery of these services.

Submission Requirements:

1. Mandatory Requirements:
Completed Proposal Cover
Completed and signed Proposal Declaration Form
Completed and signed No Conviction of Fraud Declaration
Completed and signed Conflict of Interest, Ethical Conduct And Disclosure of Information Declaration
Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) Coverage demonstrated by a valid WSIB Clearance Certificate.
Provide Proof of Insurance/or proof of intent to submit a valid certificate of insurance. Contract requirement for insurance is 8 million Commercial General Liability and 2 million Automobile Liability Insurance.
Letter of Consent from a surety company confirming Proponent is able to obtain a performance bond in the amount of $150,000.
