Description

Services for Project Specific to the Mental Health Consequences of COVID-19

McMaster University invites qualified bidders to submit responses for the supply of web development, web design, social media promotion, video production and design, podcast development and design, plain language writing in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposals.

The project requires design and production of media and web-based services for a large public health project aimed at identifying and addressing the mental health consequences of COVID-19. In the following services will be provided in collaboration with the McMaster Project Team:

Project website
Design, produce and mount to the website the following mental-health specific products to the website that adhere plain language principles and are consumable by a general Canadian audience.
1. Mental Health Assessment Tool.
2. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) psychosocial education program.
3. Trauma-informed training course responsive to user need.
4. Ten educational videos (approximately 10 minutes in duration) that describe the mental health impact of COVID-19 on Canadians.
Three webcasts of a minimum of one- hour duration that discuss the mental health impact of COVID-19 on Canadians.
Two symposia of a minimum of three-hour duration that discuss the mental health impact of COVID-19 on Canadians.
Design and implementation of promotional materials for the webcasts and symposia.
A social media campaign, consisting of a minimum of 10 videos and 100 plain language, visually appealing social media postings.

A more detailed description of the scope of services can be found in Section 5 Specifications of the RFP document.
The term of this agreement is for an initial term of one (1) year with an option to renew for up to an additional three (3) years (for an equal, greater, or lesser amount depending on deliverables) to be renewed on a yearly basis as required, at McMaster’s sole discretion.

A Proposal must include, or conform with, the following Mandatory Requirements:

10-15 years experience of graphic design in branding and identity. Experience with User Experience (UX) and design for cultural identity will be an asset.
Established experience conducting media work with a lens to inclusion and diversity.
Experience working with established Canadian media corporations (e.g., CBC)
Experience running symposia, town halls and extensive experience researching, conducting, recording and producing interviews
