McMaster University invites qualified suppliers to submit proposals for biorepository: equipment purchase, installation, and supply of liquid nitrogen in accordance with the terms of this Proposal Call. This Proposal Call also is for the provision of a bulk tank for storage of the bulk liquid nitrogen to service up to 31 qty Taylor Warton freezers, model #LABS94K-Kryos. The bulk tank size is approx. 6,000 gallons with pressure pump and monitoring system. The bulk tank must have a liquid nitrogen monitory system to allow the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) to measure the liquid nitrogen consumption of the biorepository. This fluid metering device should comply with the weights and measures act of Canada.
The Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) aims to learn more about the changes linked with aging and adult development over the next twenty years. CLSA researchers will collect physical, psychosocial, lifestyle, nutritional, environmental, economic and health services data on individuals across Canada.
The term of this agreement is for an initial term of three (3) years with an option to renew for up to an additional two (2) years to be renewed on a yearly basis as required, at McMaster’s sole discretion. The anticipated start date of the contact is, September 1, 2022, with required equipment installed ready for use.
