Background and Purpose
McMaster University seeks a qualified audio-visual contractor to supply and install a presentation system that will allow for the creation of an immersive experience for users of the Faculty of Engineering boardroom located in our new Hatch Centre. The complete room system shall include but not be limited to, multiple video displays, wireless BYOD connectivity, and multimedia inputs, full audio and video conferencing, and Crestron control system.

The RFP contains the major system components required to meet system specifications. McMaster reserves the right to consider alternate items to the ones specified, but proponents must quote the items specified, and then list any alternate items separately.

Proponents must provide all the items listed within the RFP. Partial proposals will not be accepted.

The Proponent must provide detailed installation and setup schedule. Proposals will be evaluated based on schedule and commitment to meet deadline.

Delivery, installation and commissioning must be completed by June 30, 2017 (date subject to construction completion).

A Mandatory Proponents' Briefing and Site Visit will be held at 10:00 am, May 4, 2017 at John Hodgins Engineering Building, JHE (A114), McMaster University, 1280 Main St West, Hamilton, Ontario. The purpose is to view the facilities and clarify the specifications and identifying the Services requested in this RFP. A question and answer period will follow but no minutes will be taken. Note: Proponents that do not attend the Mandatory Proponents' Briefing and Site Visit will not qualify to submit a Proposal.
Proponents must contact Tracie Felton to register for the Mandatory Proponents' Briefing and Site Visit.
