Description

The intent of this RFP is to select one Proponent for the Provision of Convocation AV Services to the University in accordance with the terms and conditions of this RFP.

Convocation is Carleton University’s premier event which is held twice a year. Students may choose or their curriculum will dictate which seasonal convocation ceremony that they will be able to attend. Attendance is not mandatory and there is currently no RSVP system in place to actually predict attendance at the actual ceremony. Historical statistics suggest than approximately 40% of eligible students will choose not to attend.

Spring Convocation operation usually takes place in early June over a one week period with three days set up and four days live including tear down. Usually eight ceremonies take place during this time frame (two / day). Fall Convocation operations usually takes place early November over a four day period with three days set up and one day live including tear down
