Description

Brock University distributes hot and chilled water from the Central Utilities Building to campus academic buildings through supply and return piping within a network of service tunnels at its main campus at 1812 Sir Isaac Brock Way, St. Catharines. The in-tunnel piping is Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe of varying diameters. The oldest sections of chilled water pipe date back to 1965. Brock would like to undertake a design study to address replacement of both the chilled and hot water piping systems.

A non-mandatory Site Tour is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. of the Central Utilities Building (CUB) and tunnels. Proponents will meet near the Mackenzie Chown G Block Central Shipping and Receiving loading dock. Please RSVP your attendance.

NOTE: Hard hats and safety footwear are required. Pay and Display Parking is available nearby in Lot E (see Site Tour Map).
