Notice of Intended Procurement

This Notice of Intended Procurement is issued by Ontario Pension Board (“OPB”) for procurements covered by the Canadian Free Trade Agreement to provide summary information in relation to specific procurement, as detailed below.

3. How to Obtain Relevant Documents

OPB is posting a Request for Proposal (“RFP) on electronic Canadian public tendering systems (MERX and Biddingo), on March 6, 2020, at the same time of posting this Notice of Intended Procurement. Interested suppliers should download the tendering document from the aforementioned Canadian public electronic tendering systems and are asked not to contact OPB for posting information.

4. Description of Procurement
The RFP is an invitation by the Ontario Pension Board (“OPB”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for an emergency notification system further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).

The following outlines the mandatory technical requirements for this RFP:

The proposed system must be SaaS-based.
The proposed system must be capable of sending multi-modal notifications (e.g. voice, voicemail, text, email).
The proposed system must be available on a 24x7x365 basis.

5. Time-Frame for Delivery, Duration of Contract and Extension Options

It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be awarded in April and will be for a term of two (2) years with an option to extend on the same terms and conditions for up to two (2) periods of up to one (1) year each.

6. Language of Submissions

Unless otherwise indicated, all submissions shall be in English only.

The submission deadline for this solicitation is March 24, 2020 at 3:00:00 p.m.
