The scope of work for this project includes but is not limited to:
1. Demolition:
.1 Removal of existing precast stone pieces as are currently stored in sea can containers on site. Refer to Section 01 21 00 – Allowances.
.2 Removal of existing temporary weather-tight construction as required to expose existing construction and accommodate new work.
.3 Removal of existing parapet cap flashings and prefinished metal roofing as required to accommodate tie-in of new construction with existing as detailed.
2. New Work:
.1 Structural steel, structural metal stud framing, bent metal framing, miscellaneous rough carpentry, blanket insulation and air / vapour barrier membrane work and prefinished metal flashings and counterflashings as required to tie-in to existing construction, provide watertight backup construction and support new Owner-supplied glass fiber reinforced (GFRC) panels and existing central cross as is to be reinstated.
.2 Poured concrete infill wall complete with reinforcing adjacent to existing turrets.
.3 Storage, protection and installation of GFRC panels as manufactured by ‘Plasterform’ and as will be supplied and delivered to site by the Owner.
.4 Supply and installation of new prefinished metal roofing and parapet cap flashings, profile and finish to match existing, in locations as impacted by new work.
.5 Restoration, modifications, refinishing and reinstallation of existing central cross. Refer to Section 01 21 00 – Allowances.
.6 Design, supply and installation of a lighting protection system. Refer to Section 01 21 00 –Allowances.
.7 Masonry investigation work in accordance with Unit Prices provided.
.8 Masonry repair work, as later directed by the Consultant, in accordance with Unit Prices provided.
