Request for Proposals (RFP) for Data Storage Solution
The Museum is seeking Proposals from potential firms who have managerial and technical experience in providing services for a Data Storage Solution in the Petabyte range to be delivered to Gatineau, QC, Canada. This is a one-step two-envelope submission process (Technical and Financial) to select the highest ranked Proponent who may then be invited to negotiate or to enter into a Contract with the Museum.
The selected Contractor will be required to deliver the Services described in the procurement documents including, but not limited to, the following:
A primary Scale-out NAS to be deployed at CMH with an initial one (1) or two (2) Petabytes which can be expanded to five (5) Petabyte and a secondary Scale-out NAS to be deployed at the CWM with an initial one (1) or two (2) Petabytes which can be expanded to five (5) Petabytes. The Secondary array is for business continuity purposes and can use slower disks. The Museum will also require a Scale-out NAS or other solution used as a Backup Array for a Commvault media agent deployed at the CMH in the data center with an initial capacity of one (1) or two (2) Petabytes expendable to 5 Petabytes, as well as a Scale-out NAS or other solution used as a DR-Backup Array for a Commvault media agent deployed offsite for disaster recovery with an initial capacity of one (1) or two (2) Petabytes expendable to five (5) Petabytes.
To be considered, Proposals must be received before the Closing Date and Time noted in the MERX ad through the MERX Electronic Bid Submission System. Refer to the Instructions to Proponents for all associated details.
Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using the established criteria in the RFP. The criteria relate to previous achievements and experience, as well as technical and managerial expertise.

It is anticipated to provide the Deliverables and complete the work within 30 days of the Contract Award. Refer to the procurement documents for further details.
Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their Proposals on the forms that are available through MERX or as directed in the procurement documents.
The Museum retains the right to negotiate with the Proponents on any aspect of the procurement.
Proposals may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
Proponents can obtain the award result once posted on MERX.
