Description

The overall objective of this work is to raise awareness among youth and key influencers about the career opportunities mining offers and the sector’s role in environmental sustainability, social responsibility and technological innovation.
As part of the overall objective, one component is establishing a Mining Career Awareness Ambassador Program that: 1) facilitates guest speakers from the mining industry to speak at a broad range of youth-oriented events, with the goals to increase awareness of the industry and to change negative youth perspectives of mining.
As a starting point for the project, MiHR is looking for a consultant to undertake a review and analysis of the design/approach and implementation strategies of existing Ambassador type programs, being delivered in natural resource sectors. The review and analysis must examine:

Effective practices and innovative, creative and emergent models using technology
Challenges and barriers to successful implementation of Ambassador Programs
Indicators of success

There are very tight timelines on this project and MiHR is looking to have this research work completed by December 3rd, 2021. The total budget is not to exceed $10,000.
The review and analysis report must include recommendations on MiHR’s Ambassador program design and approach and will be used to inform the next phase of the project, which is the design and development of tools and materials for an Ambassador Toolkit.
