Background

The Coordinating Entity is issuing an RFI to better understand what body fluid handling and disposal systems, including flusher disinfector, macerators, solidifying products or other similar types of body fluid disposal systems and equipment are available in the marketplace. The RFI process should also inform the Entity regarding the system and equipment’s features and benefits, operating costs and functional processes within acute and long term care facilities. The Entity also needs to understand the total cost of ownership related to system choices.
