B1. BACKGROUND
B1.1 The City of Winnipeg will be issuing a tender for the North End Water Pollution Control Centre
(NEWPCC) Ultraviolet (UV) Upgrade Project, which will be released with tender number
30-2025. This project will replace the existing UV disinfection system that no longer has full
manufacturer product support with a new UV disinfection system with lower energy demands
while also increasing disinfection capacity.
