This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Coordinating Entity to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Generator Testing and Inspection Services, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).
The Coordinating Entity, as identified on the cover page, is issuing this RFP and administering the RFP process on behalf of the Purchaser(s) identified in Section B – Material Disclosures of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D).
The scope of this RFP includes semi-annual and annual test and inspections and may also include five year test and inspections if they are due during the term of the Agreement. Testing and inspection Services will be done in accordance with CAN CSA C282-05 in compliance with the Manitoba Fire Code.
It is the intent to seek competitive bids and to enter into an Agreement with one qualified proponent for both the test and inspection services as well as maintenance to correct any deficiencies; however, if it is not in the best interest of the Purchaser to procure maintenance services from the selected proponent, the Purchaser will be permitted to obtain maintenance to correct any deficiencies found during the test and inspection outside of this Agreement. Equipment that is under warranty is not included in this Agreement until the warranty period is over. Proponents will have the ability to subcontract if required; all subcontractors will need to be approved by the Purchaser before any services are performed.
The term of the agreement is anticipated to be from February 1, 2022 to March 31, 2024 with an option in favour of the Purchaser to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for one (1) additional year.
