DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
The work shall consist in the supply of all insurance, workers compensation, tools, equipment and its maintenance, meals & accommodations, transportation (including mileage and fuel for the successful Bidder's equipment), oil, mobilization and de-mobilization, equipment repairs and warranty of workmanship as required for the rental of a D5 Cat, John Deere 650, Kamatsu 51 or equivalent as approved by the Purchaser, crawler dozer without operator for blading brush under transmission lines.
The Purchaser will supply the operator, fuel and regular maintenance during the rental period not including mobilization and demobilization.
WORK LOCATION
The work will include blading brush and clear and clearing trails on various transmission lines.
MOBILIZATION/DEMOBILIZATION
Mobilization/Demobilization shall include all costs incurred by the Contractor in organizing, assembling, loading, transporting, delivering to the work site from the Contractor's point of origin and as well as the unloading and assembling of plant, tools, materials, equipment and personnel required by the Contractor to undertake and complete the Work.
The crawler dozer shall be delivered to Ashern, Manitoba. Once the work is complete, the Purchaser shall return the crawler dozer to the Ashern, Manitoba or to a location mutually agreed on by the Purchaser and Contractor.
RENTAL SCHEDULE
The Purchaser will require the dozer from approximately January 1, 2018 to March 31, 2018.
The rental of the crawler dozer shall be on a monthly basis for a maximum of 200 hours a month. The Purchaser may cancel the contract at any time during the work schedule. The rental shall be pro-rated in the event that the work falls under the monthly time period.
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
The crawler dozer shall have the following requirements:
- KG blade
- wide pads
- 90 hp to 115 hp
- 2012 or newer
- equipped with winch capable for the size of crawler dozer
- equipped with a 5lb multi-purpose dry chemical, or equivalent, fire extinguisher
