DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK:
The Work shall consist of the supply of all that is required to fabricate, supply and deliver transmission line and substation steel structures with tower fasteners, bolts, step bolts, nuts and washers (field bolts) in accordance with the Form of Tender and Standard Material Specifications 30-3M latest revision (Supply of Transmission Structures) and 30-7M latest revision (Supply of Structural Fasteners, Bolts, Nuts and Washers).
All structures shall be galvanized after fabrication. Components may be trial assembled and inspected prior to full scale production if required. Steel structures may be assembled or unassembled sections when delivered. All items shall be bundled by tower section or like pieces using non-metallic spacer strips between each member. Contractor shall be responsible to verify quantity and weight calculation of each tower component from drawing layout and bill of materials are accurate. Contractor shall notify Manitoba Hydro in writing of any discrepancy to its drawing prior to fabrication. All detail drawings will be provided upon award of the Contract.
The Contractor agrees to supply the Purchaser with Goods as and when required, as described in Form of Tender 01 Pricing and in accordance with the Contract Documents.
During the Contract, the scope may be amended to change quantities, delete Items or add goods that are related or similar in nature including, not limited to, accessories, spare parts, new makes, models, and any fixes, corrections, minor modifications, minor revisions, changed parts, changed components, changed material or component suppliers, updates, upgrades, enhancements, additions and improvements in accordance with the Changes to the Work Section. The Contractor may also be required to perform onsite support services upon the Purchaser's request and approval.

MANDATORY CRITERIA:
All proposals/tenders must meet all of the following criteria, in Manitoba Hydro’s determination, in order to proceed to the second stage of the evaluation process:
- CSA W47.1 Division 1 or 2 Certified; or CSA Division 3 with proof of application with Canadian Welding Bureau for Certification to Division 2
- Proof that demonstrates bolts will have a minimum Charpy impact strength of 20 Joules @ -20 deg. C through sample charpy test reports.
