This bid opportunity is open to all interested suppliers.
Manitoba Housing requires the services of a general contractor to perform renovations to the main floor of a 12 storey apartment building to facilitate a daycare. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, installation of new gypsum walls, washrooms and kitchen, including all millwork and fixtures, office, storage and play areas, removal and replacement of storefront windows, firestopping, mechanical including HVAC fans, electrical including baseboard heaters, lighting and panels, life/safety upgrades, and exterior work including minor landscaping, fencing and a stand alone canopy.
The main floor of the building will not be occupied during construction. Tenants will occupy the remaining 11 stories.
Approximate budget for the project is between $250,000 and $500,000.
A mandatory site visit is scheduled for April 24, 2018 at 1:30 P.M.
Deadline for questions is May 3, 2018. All questions must be submitted to the Contract Administrator at nicole.doherty@gov.mb.ca.
Deadline for "Requests for Equals" is 10 days before the submission deadline. Anyone wishing to submit a request for equal must complete the form on the website www.gov.mb.ca/housing/mh/business/procurement.html and submit to the project manager at greg.popoff@gov.mb.ca. The form must be completed in its entirety or may be rejected.
Bid submission deadline is May 10, 2018 at 2:00:00 P.M. This is an ebid submission and all bids must be uploaded through MERX. No other form of submission is accepted for this tender.
Please read the tender documents carefully regarding the ebid requirements. Make sure you obtain your PIN number from MERX well in advance of the deadline in order to upload your tender submission.
