SCOPE OF WORK
D2.1 The Work to be done under the proposed Contract shall consist of door installation, repairs, and modifications in City owned and/or operated buildings at the direction of the Contract Administrator for the period from date of award to December 31, 2025.
(a) All materials to be used and or incorporated in the Work shall conform to the City of Winnipeg Accessibility Design Standard;
(b) All materials, where wood or laminated plastic doors are to be used and or incorporated in the Work, shall conform to AWMAC’s Standards; and
(c) All materials to be used and or incorporated in the Work shall conform to the City’s standard hardware, BEST for locking hardware. If BEST is not presently installed, confirm with the Contract Administrator regarding matching to existing hardware.
D2.2 The major components of the Work may include:
(a) Door installation, repairs, and modifications, including but not limited to:
(i) Supply and install new steel, glass, overhead doors or gates including related components;
(ii) Repairs to existing doors or gates and related components;
(iii) Modifications to existing doors or gates and related components; and
(iv) Electrical, framing, controls including accessories, etc.;
(v) Removal and disposal of old door systems as required; and
(vi) Emergency/Urgent repair/replacement as required.
D2.3 The Work shall be done on an “as required” basis during the term of the Contract
D2.3.1 The type and quantity of Work to be performed under this Contract shall be as authorized from time to time by the Contract Administrator and/or designate.
D2.3.2 Notwithstanding C7.4, the City shall have no obligation under the Contract to purchase any quantity of any item in excess of its actual operational requirements.
